55 High St.

Quite literally the cherry on top … the spacious roof terrace. With gorgeous views of the Old Town, the sea, the famous fishing huts and the East Hill (with the steepest funicular railway in the UK!), this really is simply a delightful place to be.
Kitchen, Lounge, Diner
The kitchen has all the facilities you’d expect, with lovely views of the garden (and some great people watching on the High St) through the sash window.

And finally, tucked away in the cosy end, the lounge. Sofas (one can be made into a sofa-bed, ideal for movies), log burner, large TV on the wall. What more do you need for a cosy evening in?

The Garden
Entrance to the apartment very secure gate (with number keypad), through the private garden, then up a flight of stairs to the raised decking area with rattan seating.
For those interested in a bit of history, there is plenty to be found here. It is said that the Duke of Wellington once hid in the basement of the building that once stood on this site (now the sunken area with the boat seat and picnic bench), and there are visible areas of a medieval wall of archaeological significance. See History for more info.
Whether interested in how it came to be or not, there’s no denying it’s a gorgeous retreat from the hubbub of the High St, with the raised decking area getting the sun right through to mid afternoon. Oh, and you get your very own enormous pirate graffiti to admire while you’re at it.
The Roof Terrace
The proverbial cherry on top. The sun lounge with it’s two sofas is a relaxing place to be rain or shine (or storm!). From this room the large bi-fold doors take you out to the roof terrace where you can chill on the rattan sofas, bathe on the sun loungers or simply stand and admire the views (sea, Winkle Island, the fishing huts, East Hill just being some of the highlights).
